After earning a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees (in Fire Protection Engineering and Engineering Management) from the University of Maryland, Drew Poole has joined a powerful team of Fire Protection experts as an Engineer in Training. Mr. Poole is responsible for providing fire protection engineering design services, facility assessments, and code consulting services. His project tasks include performing hydrant testing, inspecting existing fire protection systems for compliance with life safety and NFPA codes, assisting in the design of new fire alarm systems and fire suppression systems. Mr. Poole also reviews new and existing facilities for compliance with minimum design standards and writes assessment reports documenting fire protection and life safety deficiencies. He provides plan review and performance-based design as well. Mr. Poole has provided engineering services for the design of suppression systems and fire alarm systems in educational facilities, healthcare facilities, administrative facilities, energy facilities and aircraft hangars. Prior to joining Poole Fire Protection, Mr. Poole worked for several reputable organizations, inluding the National Park Service (Tulelake, CA), USACE (Al Udeid AB, Qatar; Kandahar AB, Afghanistan; Fort Riley, KS; Tinker AFB, Oklahoma), Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center (Topeka, KS), Boys Town National Research Hospital (Omaha, NE) and Oklahoma Military Department (Camp Gruber, OK) Affiliations include: RECENT Projects:
