Fire Protection Engineer Poole Fire Protection is looking for a creative and innovative fire protection engineer to help support our growing Fire Protection Team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design of fire suppression, fire detection/alarm and life safety systems including performing of field construction inspections and acceptance testing. Additional duties include: meeting and site work attendance; overall management and supervision of projects; ability to market to potential clients; and quality control to ensure designs are in accordance with governing industry codes and standards. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating, implementing, executing, controlling and completing projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals, by performing core duties and responsibilities listed below. Job Expectations and Requirements:
Previous experience in the fire protection industry (minimum five years preferred) Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Fire Protection Engineering (preferred) Knowledge of governing industry standards such as NFPA, IBC and others Good interpersonal and communication skills combined with the ability to work with minimal supervision Must be responsible, personable, detail oriented, and self-motivated with solid organization and time management skills that lead to timely completion of projects Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook The position includes the potential for both stateside and international travel (15% to 40%). The position will be based out of Olathe, Kansas (Kansas City). Candidates must successfully complete an employment background investigation and drug screening. Compensation will be based on ability and experience, and will consist of a competitive salary along with a compensation and incentive program.
